The beginning of my love for writing began in second grade, oh so long ago...

I was writing an essay about Monarch butterflies and my teacher thought it was so good, she would show it to other second grade classes after me. After she said that to me, and I had had my first experience with writing, I knew that I loved it. I began writing short stories that I had randomly come up with. My family was always hearing about my stories and I kept writing them down! Quite a few months ago, I found out about Nancy Yi Fan (an author that wrote her book when she was 12) and how she published a book called Swordbird! I thought "Why couldn't I publish a book?!" The very idea was so exciting to me. So here I am, working on my novel that is still in the makings. It is a very exciting journey to be in another world whenever you want to!
